- Coastal and lowland forest margins and shrubland

| Description: |
- Shining, open branching shrub with soft wood and green to purplish
stems
- Alternate dark green soft leaves are branched with 1-3 lobes,
up to 4-40cm long, but usually 15-30cm long
- Flowers most of the year with lavender or white flowers up to
3.5cm across
- Berries are drooping and yellowish, 20-25mm long
- Dark green/brown bark with vertical stripes
- The plant has a variety of medicinal uses (ulcers, itch, bruises)
