- Shrub or small tree with spreading branches covered with soft
white hairs (tomentum)
- The leaves are large, up to 25cm x 20cm, membranous with dense
white tomentum below
- Flowers are prolific on large panicles in spring
- Leaves and flowers poisonous
- Leaves used in poultices to treat wounds and sores
- Preferred food of possums
